In an attempt to capitalize on the poker craze in the United States…

2003 World Series of Poker champion Chris Moneymaker has started his own poker company. The new company, Moneymaker Gaming, will manufacture poker accessories and related items.
In an attempt to continue his tradition of doing the stupidest thing possible…

Death Row Record’s founder Suge Knight has signed some sort of licensing agreement with the new company.
(Update: The streak continues as Suge is arrested after police find marijuana in his truck.)
Now what kind of licensing deal could poker and hardcore gangsta rap be involved in?
We decided to do our own investigation.
Looking up “Rap” in an online poker dictionary gives us this result:
Rap
When a player knocks on the table indicating that he/she has checked.
No help there. Let’s try some related words.
Crack
To beat a hand - typically a big hand. You hear this most often used to apply to pocket aces: “Third time tonight I’ve had pocket aces cracked”.
Rock
A passive, tight player.
Whore
A queen.
Steal
To steal the pot is raising in expectation that all other players will fold, if they fold the player has stolen the pot.
Shoot-out
A tournament with no rebuys. When you lose all your chips, you’re out. More usually called a “freeze-out” or, in the case of a single table, a “sit-and-go”.
Bullets
A pair of Aces.
I’m still not seeing where gangsta rap fits anywhere in the world of poker.
Apparently Suge isn’t the only one who knows something I don’t, as poker and rap have been combined in another place:
Reality TV!
Spike TV’s new unscripted drama “Bring it to the Table“:
“Bring it to the Table” pits disparate hip-hop communities — Spike TV suggests East Coast vs. West Coast and Dirty South vs. NYC — against each other over the poker table. Instead of using cash as an ante, the players put their bling on the table — Spike TV suggests platinum pendants and pimp cups — and in the end, the losing team’s loot is auctioned off with the proceeds going to the winning team’s charity of choice.
Spike TV hopes to have the show ready to debut this spring.
Don’t get caught trying to bluff a weak “pimp hand.”
