Conclusion
Drudge is still the king of traffic but blogs dominate in links and content.

Note: Blog visit totals are calculated on a weekly average using Sitemeter counters. Calculations were done using data from the the top blog tracking site The Truth Laid Bear. I calculated Drudge’s average by averaging his last 31 day visit total (as shown on his website) to a daily number. I don’t know exactly how Drudge calculates his visits. Backlinks were the combined totals of the domain address and the subdomain ‘www’ address for each site. Blogshare values are ‘current valuation’.
