According to a 60 Minutes Wednesday report, three current or former Carolina Panthers had steroid prescriptions filled in January of 2004. The AP reports:
Carolina Panthers Todd Sauerbrun and Jeff Mitchell and former player Todd Steussie had steroid prescriptions filled by a West Columbia, S.C., doctor now under investigation by federal authorities, according to a “60 Minutes Wednesday” report.
The most bizarre part of this report is that Todd Sauerbrun is a punter, of all things. Where is the Congressional hearing on the long-standing problem of juicing punters? According to the report, Sauerbrun was the most juiced of the three players:
In addition to the cream, which is banned by the NFL, Sauerbrun - one of the league’s top punters - also obtained syringes and the injectable steroid Stanozolol, which is also banned by the league.
Has anyone run a urine test on Bobby Fischer lately?
